Salt dough is the gateway drug of toddler crafts. The dough is forgiving, the hands are tiny, the result lasts on the shelf for years even when half of it crumbles.
The recipe
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- Mix until tacky, knead until smooth.
Bake low and slow (90°C / 200°F for two hours). Don’t rush it; cracking lives in the oven door.
